Glenda & John’s Daybreak Star wedding was a heartfelt ceremony that blended Native American traditions, song, dance and food, and celebrated John’s canoe making skills. Surrounded by friends, family and the gorgeous natural setting of Seattle’s Discovery Park, this couple was truly in their element.
S & R’s romantic two-day wedding celebration began with a City Hall service in their charming hometown of Colmar, France. Their close families and friends in attendance celebrated in the street afterward: popping bottles of cremant before the bride and groom rode away on a bicycle built for two adorned with heart-shaped balloons and hand-decorated tin cans bearing the couple’s names.
The next day 130 guests joined the happy couple for a church ceremony followed by a reception at a nearby farm where both dinner and dancing commenced alongside grazing sheep.
Félicitations aux jeunes mariés pour leur heureuse union!
It felt like nature was celebrating along with us at Golden Gardens for John & Glenda’s engagement session. The cherry blossoms were blooming, the seals were barking and a beaver swam slowly by. I can’t wait to see what magic happens at their Daybreak Star ceremony later this summer!
